I remember having this doll case full with barbie dolls that I always played with. I thought this was a great childhood find and the case, dolls and clothes all cost under $20.

I went garage sailing last week, nothing to brag about. But I did come across this garage sales that was selling a few good things and one of them was this game. It's call the Hotel game by Parker Brothers and it's from the70's. I never hear of it before but i purchased it because it was cheap. I looked on ebay and that games is selling for $100 bucks or more . This is my kind of way to do garage sale buy very very cheap and sell high. I love garage sailing don't you?

With this heat wave going garage sailing it's next to possible. Most of the people who have garage sales are in door cooling off. When it's this hot 100 degrees do you really want to garage sale in this heat. But I will tell you about the garage sale I have been to . The things that were being sold were the same things that you see everyday and also the people wanted to much money for their used stuff and it was nothing good. I was on the boardwalk in AC this week and I came across a bird with attuide. He was fighting all the other birds looking for food. He walked around like he owned the block. I loved his attuide.
Also I went to some garage sales in New Jersey. They have the same stuff we sell in New York. A lot of new junk. Very disaapointing. I just knew I was going to find the good stuff. Maybe next time.

I love to read , and because the library always limits me to the time that I have to read the book and return it. I always find my greatest bargains on books I like to read at garage sales. this book was 50 cents. Mostly I see paper back books for 50 cents to $1. I love to read.

Ok this might not be the best bracelet that I have seen. But it has charters from Kellogg's on it. there is Snap, and Crackle from Rice Crispies and Tony The Tiger from frosted flakes. The bracelet is a little tarnished but it was an impulse buy for $2.00. I know I should have left it where it was. I said it was an impulse buy. Ok so shoot me not one of my better deals

I just started going garage sailing this last 2 weeks and I see nothing that excites me. I hope that this is not the way the season will be. There were so many garage sales yesterday. My head was spinning. Most of the stuff that I seen were OK. Nothing special but the prices were right. I picked up some books for 25 cents each and a Disney bracelet for $2.00. I also got some solar outdoor lighting fixtures for $14.00 2 boxes. They go in the stores for $60.00 for one box. Yesterday was a good garage sale day.

I visited the Toys R Us by me in New York. The place looked like it was having a going out of business sale. Most of the toys were on the floor. The ones that were not on the floor their boxes were damaged. And i can not believe how expensive toys are now. i remember I could buy a barbie doll for 5 bucks now that same doll is $12. I miss Kaybee toys now they had bargains and great toys if your a collector like me.

Within the last 2 Years I started to collect red line Hot wheels. don't ask me why I am not a big car collector I just remember them from my childhood and I knew relines hot wheels were the best. so I started to look for them when I went Places. I came across this remake reline From Kay Be toys cost lest then $4.00 so i purchased it. I am glad I did. I happen to like the look of this car with it's extra wheel. What do you think?

I have been watching this series over the holiday week. American Pickers it on the history channel. These guys ride through the south Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, etc looking fro old stuff to buy. what makes this show interesting is that you never realize how much stuff people have in their garages. These old farmers have a lot of land that they store old stuff on. stiff that they have been collecting for years. it's a interesting program makes me homesick for the south food, the junk and the people . They makes the best pork sandwiches in the south!

Just found out yesterday that the comic convention is in town. It's at the Javis center here in New york. I thought I was going to go this weekend, But the tickets are $45.00 per person per day. The vendors will have various comic books, action figures and anything related to the comic book world I think. A lot of people dress up in their favorite action figures to attend this show. It's sound and looks like fun but way to expensive for my blood. With the holiday coming up real fast hope that the flea markets are offering good bargains and items of your likening. I will keep you posted on what I find.

I had found this great 10 speed Schwinn bike last year. It was free and I took it. I went to get it repaired last weekend but it would cost me$100.00 to get it fixed so I just said forget about it. I will sell it and get a brand new one. Sometimes it pays to let free stay free right where it is!

Did I mention that collect Carnival and Depression ware glasses. I like the colors that they have. I found these carnival glasses that are like a gold in color with grapes and leaves on the side at a yard sale last week. They came at a very good and low price. One of the glasses has a small chip on the edge but nothing that would take away from the beauty of the glass itself. so what do you think?

I found this game somewhere and I thought it would be cool to show you. It's call the Easy Money Game and it comes with 2 game boards. You play it like the game Monoply. This game got me to thinking do we still sit down with friends and family and play board games anymore or has the computer taken over our lives.

I was walking toward Toys R Us in Manhattan. And I came across Tickle Me Elmo. He was charging people to take a picture with him. Times are hard and even Elmo's getting his hustle on!

I went to an estate sale a couple of months backs and I got these great vintage barbie dolls for $25.00 for 3 of them. You know I collect vintage barbies. I loves these! They come with the outfits and there in good condition. The hair just needs doing. Sometimes it pays to go to estate sales

and sometimes it doesn't pay. Some estate sales I have been to was way over prices for the junk they were selling. And some dirt cheap. depends on who's doing the estate sale. Oh well that's it for me.

I didn't find anything good to share as of yet from my yard sale adventures . But I was thinking how I miss my 12 inch Gi Joe. The stores do not carry them anymore. They only carry the smaller Gi Joe's in the package. I have a few of the 12 inch Gi Joe's put away but not that many. Are you a GI Joe collector and do you miss them like I do? ok so I know this is not a 4th of July picture .But it's still a good one. Only in NY can you see a needle ( a long one at that) and button in the fashion area of NY. I think they forgot the thread. This area is home to fashion design houses and a college for fashion design ( FIT). Just wanted to share like always. Have a great 4th of July and a safe one.
